Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, customer-focused, and sales-oriented Salesman to join our silk saree and textile showroom in Erode. The ideal candidate will assist customers in selecting sarees and textiles based on their preferences and requirements while delivering excellent service and achieving showroom sales goals. Freshers and candidates with prior retail or textile sales experience are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and understand their saree, textile, and fashion requirements. Assist customers in selecting suitable sarees, fabrics, and textile products based on occasion, style, budget, and preference. Explain product details including fabric, design, quality, price, and care instructions. Demonstrate products confidently and help customers compare different options. Build a good rapport with customers and provide a personalized shopping experience. Achieve individual and showroom sales targets. Recommend complementary products and encourage additional purchases where appropriate. Handle customer enquiries, product exchanges, and concerns professionally. Follow up with customers when required and maintain strong customer relationships. Maintain proper product displays and ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and attractive. Assist with stock arrangement, product tagging, replenishment, and basic inventory activities. Coordinate with billing and other showroom staff to ensure smooth customer transactions. Stay updated on new collections, fabrics, designs, seasonal products, and promotional offers. Maintain a professional appearance and follow showroom policies and standards. Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve overall showroom targets. Requirements Freshers are welcome to apply. Prior experience in textile, saree, fashion, retail, or showroom sales is an advantage. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, confident, and customer-oriented personality. Strong interest in sales and willingness to learn about sarees and textiles. Good convincing and product-presentation skills. Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products. Target-oriented and willing to work as part of a team. Basic knowledge of billing or POS systems is an advantage. Candidates with experience in silk sarees, textiles, ethnic wear, fashion retail, or jewellery retail will be preferred.
