Store Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Store Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our men's apparel retail store in Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore. The role involves leading the store team, achieving sales targets, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high visual merchandising standards. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in retail store management, preferably in apparel, fashion, or lifestyle retail. Key Responsibilities Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the retail store. Lead, motivate, and supervise the store sales team to achieve business targets. Set daily and monthly sales goals and monitor team performance. Drive sales through effective customer engagement, product presentation, and team coordination. Ensure customers receive excellent service throughout their shopping experience. Handle customer enquiries, feedback, complaints, and escalations professionally. Monitor store sales, conversion, average bill value, and other key performance indicators. Manage stock receiving, storage, replenishment, transfers, and inventory accuracy. Conduct regular stock checks and coordinate stock audits when required. Ensure products are properly displayed, sized, tagged, and replenished on the sales floor. Maintain visual merchandising standards according to brand guidelines. Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving products and take appropriate action. Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall presentation. Coordinate with the head office and other departments regarding sales, inventory, staffing, and operational requirements. Prepare and share daily/weekly sales and operational reports. Train new team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service, and store procedures. Manage staff attendance, shift allocation, discipline, and day-to-day team requirements. Ensure all company policies, billing procedures, security standards, and operational processes are followed. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in retail/store management. Experience in apparel, fashion, lifestyle, or branded retail is preferred. Strong team leadership and people-management skills. Good communication and customer-handling abilities. Strong sales and target-achievement orientation. Good understanding of inventory management and store operations. Knowledge of visual merchandising and retail presentation. Comfortable working with POS systems and basic computer applications. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to analyze sales performance and take corrective action. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Candidates from Coimbatore/Kuniyamuthur and nearby areas are preferred.
