Visual Merchandiser – The Chennai Silks The Chennai Silks (Gajaaananda Groups) is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to enhance the presentation of our retail showroom in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of fashion trends, colour coordination, product presentation, and retail visual merchandising. The role involves creating attractive displays that showcase products effectively, improve the customer shopping experience, and support sales. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute attractive visual displays across the showroom. Create engaging window displays, entrance displays, promotional displays, and product sections. Arrange products based on colour, category, collection, season, and current fashion trends. Develop visually appealing colour combinations and product stories. Ensure sarees, garments, accessories, and other fashion products are presented neatly and attractively. Plan and maintain mannequin styling and coordinated product displays where applicable. Refresh displays regularly based on new collections, festivals, seasons, promotions, and sales campaigns. Ensure all displays follow the brand's visual identity and presentation standards. Work with the sales team to identify high-priority products and create displays that support sales. Coordinate with store management regarding new arrivals, promotional activities, and display requirements. Monitor competitor stores and current retail/fashion merchandising trends for new display ideas. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, lighting, spacing, and overall showroom presentation. Ensure promotional signage, price displays, and communication materials are correctly positioned and updated. Support special events, festive campaigns, product launches, and seasonal showroom makeovers. Regularly evaluate displays and make improvements based on customer response and sales performance. Requirements Experience in visual merchandising, fashion retail, textile retail, apparel, jewellery, lifestyle, or a related field is preferred. Strong understanding of colour coordination, styling, product placement, and visual presentation. Good knowledge of current fashion and retail trends. Strong creative and aesthetic sense with excellent attention to detail. Ability to create attractive displays while maintaining brand consistency. Good understanding of customer shopping behaviour and retail presentation. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with store managers, sales teams, and other departments. Willingness to work with changing seasonal and promotional display requirements. Candidates with knowledge of silk, sarees, ethnic wear, fashion, or textile retail will have an added advantage.
